Sudan is currently facing one of the world’s most severe humanitarian crises, threatening the lives of millions. Ongoing conflict has ravaged cities, particularly the capital Khartoum, leading to the collapse of essential infrastructure, the disruption of healthcare services, and the displacement of millions.
With 25 million people in need of humanitarian assistance, the situation is dire. The hunger crisis has worsened due to a sharp decline in agricultural production and the destruction of food supplies by warring factions. Over 25.6 million people are suffering from acute hunger, and 755,000 are on the brink of famine.
Natural disasters, including floods, have further exacerbated the crisis. Following these events, poor sanitation and contaminated water have caused outbreaks of diseases such as diarrhea, cholera, and hepatitis A.
The Alliance of International Doctors (AID) urgently needs your support to ensure that those affected by this crisis in Sudan have access to essential healthcare. We are working to deliver critical health supplies, medicines, and medical equipment to the region.
